What is miwo?
miwo is a pet brand built around one idea: being there for a pet's whole life. Its first product is the miwo Pet Butler, a smart pet camera for the home that understands your pet's daily routine and tells you the moment something changes.
What is the miwo Pet Butler?
A pet butler for your home, dressed in a knit hood, with a camera, a microphone and a speaker. It's more than a pet monitor: on-device AI gets to know your pet, learns how they normally eat, drink, sleep, play and go to the bathroom, and alerts your phone when something is different.
How is it different from an ordinary pet camera?
An ordinary pet camera mostly records, and you have to keep watching. miwo understands what it sees: it spends the first two weeks learning your pet's habits, then tells you when they eat less, drink more or move less. Recognition runs on the device, sensitive video stays off the cloud, and a physical shutter covers the lens when you want it off.
Does it work for cats and dogs?
Yes. It learns your pet's own routine (eating, drinking, sleeping, playing, bathroom breaks), which works for cats and dogs alike. The first version focuses on one pet; support for more comes later.
What does it do in the first two weeks?
It learns what normal looks like: when they take the first bite of breakfast, where they nap, how much they move and sleep. It doesn't interrupt during this time, and afterwards only reaches out when something differs.
What will it alert me about?
Eating less, moving less, drinking more, or calling out differently. In the App, choose whether it speaks up at home or just messages your phone.
Can it understand my pet's calls?
It learns over time. You hear a call, fill the bowl, they go quiet, and the butler makes a note. Next time it hears that call, it tells you: probably hungry. The longer it's with you, the better it translates.
Can I check on my cat or dog from work?
Yes. Open the miwo App to see a live view of home, hear what's going on, and call your pet's name through your phone.
Will it upload video of my home?
Not sensitive video. Recognition and learning happen inside the butler, and sensitive data is processed only on the device, never in the cloud. Records you choose to back up go to your own private cloud space, which only you can see.
What if I don't want to be watched?
Ask it to close its eyes. Its face tilts back and the camera tucks fully under the hood's brim, physically covered. Not a software switch: stand in front of it and see for yourself.
Where should I put it?
On a shelf in the room your pet spends the most time in. The base turns it left and right, and the camera tilts up and down on its own; for corners it can't see, it can also be mounted on the wall.
Can I change the knit hood?
Yes. The knit hood comes off and can be swapped: pick a colour, and cat ears or dog ears.
Do I need the phone App?
Yes. Use the miwo App to connect it, set up your pet's profile, and see alerts and live view. The App also has a digital twin made from your pet's look, living in a little home of its own. The iOS app is coming soon.
